Our primary ID verification method is OneID. OneID is a comprehensive identity verification solution offered by Certn that utilizes biometric facial recognition technology. It provides a seamless and quick process to verify your identity by matching a selfie with your government-issued photo ID.
Tips for Uploading and Capturing Your ID
Where possible, we recommend using your phone to complete the ID verification process.
When using your phone, there are two upload methods depending on the type of document you are uploading:
- Scan your ID: Position your document within the capture square and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Upload a photo: Take a clear photo of your ID and upload it using the upload button.
The location of the 'Upload' button may vary depending on your phone model. If you have access to a tablet or computer, you can also try completing the process on those devices using both the scanning and upload methods.
Tips for Taking Clear Photos
- Use a plain background: Take photos of your licence or ID against a black or neutral-coloured background.
- Avoid glare: Make sure there is no glare from lights or windows reflecting off the ID.
- Keep the ID close to the camera: Hold the ID close enough for the details to be clearly visible. Avoid taking the photo from too far away.
- Fit the capture square: When using the scanning method, position your ID so it fills the capture square as much as possible.
For passports: Focus on the details page containing your personal information. You do not need to include the top page.
