Overview
Quickscreen allows you to complete the applicant portion of a background check directly within the Centric client portal instead of sending an invitation to the applicant.
This is ideal for organizations that already collect applicant information during their onboarding process or need to complete a background check on behalf of applicants who cannot access the online Applicant Portal.
With Quickscreen, you can:
- Enter applicant information directly within Centric
- Upload signed consent forms and required documentation
- Save draft orders and return to them later
- Submit eligible background checks without requiring applicant participation
- Track the status of Quickscreen cases alongside your other background checks
The result is a faster, more flexible screening process that fits seamlessly into your existing onboarding workflow while maintaining compliance requirements.
Before You Begin
Quickscreen must be enabled for your organization before it will appear in Centric.
If you do not see the Quickscreen tab while creating an order, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Certn Support.
Creating a Quickscreen Order
Step 1: Start a New Order
- Log in to Centric.
- Navigate to Build Your Own.
- Select the Quickscreen tab at the top of the order page.
- Choose the background checks you would like to order.
Select Next Step.
Note: Only eligible checks are available through Quickscreen. If a check does not appear, it must be ordered using the standard applicant invitation flow.
Step 2: Create the Applicant Case
- Enter the applicant's email address.
- Selecting Next Step creates a draft case where you can begin completing the applicant information.
Unlike the standard ordering process, the applicant is not sent an invitation to complete the screening.
Step 3: Upload Consent Documentation
Before proceeding, you'll need to provide proof that the applicant has provided the required consent.
You can:
- Optionally download the provided consent template or you can use your own
- Have the applicant sign it offline
- Upload the completed document to the case
Supported file types include:
- JPG
- PNG
Before continuing, you'll also be required to confirm that you have collected all required consents and disclosures.
Important: You cannot submit a Quickscreen order without confirming that the required consent has been obtained. You may be called upon at any time for audit purposes and should be prepared to show proof of consent from the applicant.
Step 4: Complete Applicant Information
Complete the applicant information directly within Centric.
Depending on the checks selected, this may include:
- Personal information
- Date of birth
- Contact details
- Address history
- Additional information required for specific background checks
Validation rules are the same as those used in the Applicant Portal to help ensure all required information is provided.
If regional notices apply, they can also be downloaded, shared with the applicant offline, and acknowledged before continuing.
Step 5: Review and Submit
Review the information entered for accuracy.
Once everything has been completed:
- Confirm the applicant's information.
- Select Submit.
Your background check will enter the normal fulfillment process and can be tracked from your Case Status page.
Saving Draft Orders
Quickscreen orders can be saved at any time before submission.
To resume a draft:
- Navigate to the Case Status page.
- Locate the draft Quickscreen case.
- Open the case to continue where you left off.
Draft Quickscreen cases are identified with a Quickscreen indicator and can be filtered separately from other cases.
